Broadcast piece for NFL Red-Zone

Created in Cinema 4d

The models, lighting, materials (inc floor mats), and transforming pieces were my responsibility.

The scene animation and post 2d detailing was completed by another artist.

Very interesting. Tell us a little about lighting techniques in this scene. Did you use particles for the lazers? Also, how was animation achieved? Looks very cool, wish i could see the actual animation.

The lighting differs from scene to scene of course, but generally consisted of many low intensity, short falloff - volumetric lights. It allowed for close proximity detail, leaving the rest up to reflection.

In terms of animation, the opening segment consisted of many small models that would build into place very quickly. Unfortunately in the final build, due to decisions that weren't mine to make, you don't see much of the complexity in the shot. Which is a shame.

The lasers were actual lights with no illumination.

You can see the piece on my portfolio.

Thanks
