Experiment with C4D and Pyrocluster.

Small tip if you want to achieve something like this.

This is rendered with no lights - only the fire is illuminating the scene. Also there is a 26 pass motion blur in the scene that you might consider impossibly slow to calculate. - That's 26 renders merged into 1.. Usually very slow.

If you render in 'Stochastic' mode with very low samples, between say 4 and 8 *low accuracy. Switch off the identical noise distribution (very important) and activate motion blur. You'll find that the very ugly looking GI Stochastic passes all merge into one nice reduced noise render in the end.

A nice way to achieve both motion blur and good GI, that would otherwise be very time consuming.

Gotta ask something about this one, looking at it, how do you think translating your tip to a campfire or fireplace type situation would work? I dont have c4d Yet, let alone a pc that will run it, ( but, working on it) , so for all I know pyrocluster wont be the best for the job lol

Very neat. Reminds me of my experiments with Afterburn. :)
